EA Cash cards for Origin not working!!!

So I bought 30 pounds worth of EA cash Cards to use on Origin. I tried using one of the codes to buy some bioware points because I wanted mass effect 2 dlc. The code doesn't even work I get "We are sorry, this code cannot be redeemed because its currency does not match your EA account Balance currency. Please contact customer support for further information." Funny thing is I don't have anything on my account's balance because I have never bought anything on origin (aside from the free on the house stuff and redeeming game code) so it's broken as hell when I try to redeem code on the origin client and it also tells me "to try again later" on the website. I am extremely mad and pissed off right now with EA the amount of problems I've had with origin is too damn much. I've contacted support over this and I have not gotten help and of course since they are codes I can't get refunds. I've never had issues with redeeming codes with Steam, PSN or XBL, hell even Uplay works better when redeeming codes.
TL;DR: I bought 30 pounds worth of EA Cash Card for Origin. The codes don't work.
EDIT: I still need help with this anyone that can help, please I'm begging anyone.

Hi, I recently bought 2 EA cash cards which came with Sims 3 bonus content. Since I don't play (or plan on playing) The Sims 3, I'll be giving these codes to y'all! I'll hand 2 codes out tomorrow at around 3:30 PM PST, so stay tuned!
